Abilene Independent School District is the premiere school district in West Texas.  No other school district offers the combination of high performance in academics, athletics, fine arts, technology, and community involvement in the education and the whole development of every child as does AISD.  The child is the main focus in Abilene as the district strives to educate and develop all students to their utmost ability and potential. Athletic teams from AISD continually play deep into the state playoffs seeking elusive state titles while individual sport participants often win state titles. Choir, band, orchestra, drama, and speech tout all-state players, vocalists, and performers.  Patriotism, community service, and individual responsibility are taught as everyone's duty from elementary school through high school. The Abilene community and AISD share an uncommon bond as many joint efforts continually strive to give every child the mental, academic, social, and physical opportunity to succeed in today's world.  WE ARE INDEED PROUD TO BE IN AISD.
